Thanksgiving Trees by Learn and Play en Anglais

Bonjour tout le monde!

J’espère que vous avez tous passé de bonnes vacances. Maintenant qu’Halloween est devant nous, beaucoup d’enfants commencent déjà à parler de Santa Claus (Père Noël). J’essaie de rappeler à mes propres enfants que nous célébrons toujours d’abord Thanksgiving avant Noël.

Thanksgiving est une fête très importante aux États-Unis et même s’il y a toujours des controverses autour de cette fête, à la fin elle consiste avant tout à être reconnaissant pour les gens, les lieux, les choses et/ou pour le confort de notre vie quotidienne. Par exemple, mon garçon est reconnaissant d’avoir ses grands-parents et ses parents ainsi que des lions et des tigres. Peu importe ce que votre enfant aime, cette fête nous donne l’occasion de parler de ce que nous apprécions et de dire pourquoi.

Hello Everyone!

I hope that you all had a nice little break. Now that Halloween is past us and many children are already starting to talk about Santa Claus (Père Noël) I’m trying to remind my own kids that we still have to celebrate Thanksgiving before Christmas.

Thanksgiving is actually a very important holiday in the U.S. and although there can be controversies around it, in the end it is all about being thankful for the people, places, things and/or daily comforts in your life. For example, my boy is grateful for his grandparents and parents as well as lions and tigers. No matter what your child is grateful for, this holiday allows us the chance to talk about what we are grateful for and why.
