When your bilingual child slips you a note under the bathroom door and it’s in the language that she only uses at home 🥰❤️✨
Join my little sidekick and I for an easy English read aloud that talks about feeling left out. Learn tips on how to use the book “Noisy Nora” in your classroom or at home with your children. For more tips and help teaching English as a second language, visit us at learnandplayenanglais.com Link in bio ✨Have a nice evening!
I love using #lovelypaper products when writing personal letters or notes. That’s why I enjoy using the same “decoration method” with my students’ written work too. Any time our students put a lot of effort into their writing and handwriting skills is a good time to recognize their achievements by allowing them to use “special” decoration “tools” (like tape, markers or pencils) that you only use for their final drafts. This makes them feel special and appreciated, just like they should be 💛✨
There’s nothing like a shrunken cat head to remind you that it’s been a while since you created a kid friendly craft! Let’s get to it!
One of the loves of my life is celebrating her birthday today. My gorgeous little sister, who is 14 years younger than me. We grew up the same way and yet also entirely different. We were born on separate continents and we each spoke two languages at home (English and Spanish) and another st school or with friends (Swedish). We’ve both only ever known a home away from home- which is fine in the end as long as your family unit is secure (like ours was). I split most of my younger years between Asia and Europe, while hers were mostly spent in Europe. A lot of our formative years were spent apart due to our age difference. But when we are together I notice how we laugh at the same jokes, or how our penmanship can be very similar. I see her turn her head slightly and I catch glimpses of myself or our mother. I am far away from her but I will forever remain close to her. So today I will say happy birthday to this beautiful young woman in our 3 shared languages, Happy birthday, feliz cumpleaños and grattis på födelsedagen!!! I love you forever K!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Quotes for teachers to inspire positive change in themselves and their classrooms. Read these quotes to help inspire you to working towards a more harmonious and inclusive classroom. Read, then breathe and drink tea or coffee and repeat 😊🙏🏼✨
My new blog post about singing, micro discrimination and creating an inclusive classroom is now available, link in bio. So, I decided that I would NOT be sharing the video of me singing- seriously, it made me cringe and I am even more grateful that my students have always been kind with me about my (lack of) singing skills 😊 Thank you for your support and thank you to @yseult___ for the work that she does💛👩‍🎤✨🙏🏼🤩🎵
Me a 👩‍🎤singer?! Hmmm, no! But I will be talking about how I use music in the classroom to help my students lose the fear of speaking in a second or third (or fourth...) language next week. Look out for the new blog post and (embarrassing) video soon and I wish you all a fantastic weekend!! ✨🙏🏼🤩🎵
My goodness!!! I just posted to my stories in two batches as I don’t know how to do it any other way 😱. This means that some people only see part of my message 😭. Is this normal, does anyone have a hack for this? #instsgramstories #instagramproblems #imanerd #eslteacher #teachenglish #learnenglishonline #learnplayanglais #teachersfollowteachers #teachersofinstagram #apprendreanglais #anglaispourlespetits #bilingualteacher #bilingualism #ceoteacher #bestintentions
