“Six Little Ducks”

Six little ducks that I once knew,

Fat ones, skinny ones, fair ones too,

But the one little duck with the feather on his back,

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack

Quack-quack-quack   Quack-quack-quack

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack

Down to the river they would go,

Wibble, wobble, wibble, wobble, to and fro,

But the one little duck with the feather on his back,

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack

Quack-quack-quack   Quack-quack-quack

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack

Home from the river they would come,

Wibble, wobble, wibble,wobble, ho-hum-hum,

But the one little duck with the feather on his back,

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack,

Quack-quack-quack   Quack-quack-quack

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack

Six little ducks that I once knew,

Fat ones, skinny ones, fair ones too,

But the one little duck with the feather on his back,

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack

Quack-quack-quack  Quack-quack-quack

He led the others with his quack-quack-quack

Hello Everyone,

I’ve been singing a new song called “Six Little Ducks” with our youngest group of students. There’s been a lot of “quacking” going on and I thought that it might be fun for the little ones to make a feather of their own to use while they sing. Have fun and see you soon!

Just Speak! – Danielle

It’s Raining, It’s Pouring?

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe that it’s expected to rain again? Well, as much as it can be boring to be stuck indoors when you haven’t got school on a Wednesday, why not spend some time talking about clouds and singing “It’s Raining, It’s Pouring?” . In this video we have the pleasure of listening to a lovely version by the duo Andrew and Polly. Don’t they do a great job of turning a rainy day into a fun one?

The little rain cloud that you see above is something that I came up with this afternoon, while working at home. I’m looking forward to trying it out tomorrow with my two favorite little helpers.

It’s Raining, It’s Pouring

It’s raining, it’s pouring!
The old man is snoring!
He went to bed,
and he bumped his head,
And he couldn’t get up in the morning.

Hello Everyone!

This  little song, which even older children love, goes a long way. Not only can you sing it while you and your child put their teddy bears to bed, but it also might help calm down your little one in the process. The people behind this song are DreamEnglishKids and they have a number of songs on YouTube that are bound to make singing in English both fun and easy at home.

new class/nouvelle classe

...

Aller On Parle! – Danielle

Hello Everyone,

I’m happy to tell you that our new class, for children ages 4 and up, has already met for the first time. I think that I can speak for everyone when I say that we all had fun singing and dancing to our new songs.  I’ve decided to add a whole new range of upbeat songs with a lot of body movements in order to keep our class lively and fun.

Hopefully you’ll join us next time but for now I’ll leave you with this song from Pancake Manor, called Move Your Legs and Arms. Isn’t this the perfect way to get your kids’ energy up after a long day?

Bonjour!

Just speak,

Danielle

Hello!

Last Thursday I introduced our new “B” word, bus, and we sang “The Wheels on the Bus” while I read out of a large read aloud book. For your activity this week I’ve decided to create an American school bus activity. During the activity you can talk about shapes and colors with your child because you’ll be using a lot of rectangles and some circles too. Ask your child to show you other objects in the room that are in the shape of rectangles and circles.

When you are done putting your bus together you can head over to Youtube and watch this video by Myvoxsongs. It includes the music and the lyrics to our new song.

Have a happy Sunday and I hope to see you soon!

Just Speak,

Danielle
